"I actually do play Quidditch. I never really tried for the team. I'm afraid I might not be too good of a keeper," Ophelia says shyly as she starts to look out at the lake, thinking of the weeds growing under the water's surface. "Do you play Quidditch, too, or do you like to keep your feet on solid ground? I could see you going either way on that one," she asks strting to relax a bit.

"Well you never know until you try! If anything the experience would be nice," Fae smiled. "Have you talked to the keepers to get tips? It is a lovely hobby to have anyways, whether you play for a team or not of course. Me, I'm awful at quidditch," Fae laughed. She laughed harder at Ophelia's other comment. She may be bad at Quidditch but she still loved the air. She thought of Sirius' flying motorcycle and a smile came to her lips. "I love to fly still. It is just so... free." She smile to Ophelia. "I'm sure you get what I mean."

"Yeah, I get what you mean. It's really fun at times to just be in the air. Also yeah, I never will know unless I try," Ophelia says, agreeing with Fae. She did have a good point with all of this. Wandering around outside turned out a lot better than she had expected it to be.

Fae smiled at Ophelia. "So where do you live? In France?" Fae knew the girl was French but wondered just where she grew up. She seemed more like a country girl to her compared to the big city. She felt at ease in the conversation, something she rarely found when just talking about personal matters rather than study subjects.

"Partially. My mom still lives in France. My dad lives in America, but I prefer France. It beats having to pretend I don't have a wand," Ophelia says, chuckling as she does. Ophelia decides to return the question by asking Fae, "And where are you from? Are you from France as well, since you said hi to me in French.

"America, huh? I haven't been to America. It seems to be an interesting place. I would love to visit New York," she smiled. "The boys are all very cute as well, and they fall for an accent and a smile without a second thought," she laughed thinking about the American boys she had led on a tour over the summer. They had all fought for her attention.
"I was born and raised in Paris. I love it there. The lights, the fashion, the art, the history and the crowds of tourists each year."

"You should go sometime. It's interesting there. A lot different than Paris, that's for sure," Ophelia says, chuckling at Fae's comment about having an accent. "That's far too true. Us silly Americans love nothing more than a good accent. Though they would never be able to tell a fake one from a true one," Ophelia teases.

Fae laughed. "I think we are going to get along really well. So how do you split your time with your parents, with school and all? It seems like you would never be able to see one of them. Are there a lot of good plants for you to study in America?"

"Well thank you. I think we might, too. I split the summer in half and spend Christmas with my mom. Before I came here I spent the school year in America with my dad and summers in France," Ophelia explains as she thinks of summer with her sisters. "Well there is plenty of plants in America, just not nearly as interesting as one's here. Probably because I see them a lot more."

Fae couldn't imagine what it would be like having to split her time between her parents. "That would be a factor," Fae laughed. "Plants do seem more exotic somewhere else. Well, anything seems more exotic if it comes from another place. I have always found Japanese art fascinating, but I will never try to create it."

"Yeah that's too true. That's probably why I'm so interested in everything I see here in Hogwarts. Because I never really get to see any of this stuff until I'm here," Ophelia says with a shrug as she starts to doodle on an empty page.

Fae nodded. She absently plucked a few blades of grass and braided them together. she let the silence stretch until she finally felt it was getting awkward. "So, given the choice would you spend the night in the spider pit in the Forbidden forest or would you try to swim to the bottom of the Black Lake?" A game of would you rather seemed like a good way to pass some time. She pulled up some more grass and continued braiding strands together.

"I would rather swim to the bottom of Black Lake. It would be fun to see some of the plants at the bottom and plus, spiders give me the creeps," Ophelia says with a chuckle as she looks at the braid that Fae is making with the blades of grass. "That seems weird and a little hard to do," Ophelia notes, but then plays into the game as well, "Would you rather... Pet a Dragon or an ogre? Granted that they were asleep, of course."

Fae thought over Ophelia’s answer. “I think I would rather deal with the Spiders, no matter how terrifying they are, that are better than the Merpeople. They can be very territorial and violent. But the plants that could be found there, given you could make it to the bottom, would be very interesting specimens indeed.
Fae laughed at Ophelia’s comment on her grass braids. “I’ve had plenty of practice. It isn’t too hard, you just have to get them tight enough they won’t unwind.” Fae continued to braid the blades as she thought of an answer to Ophelia’s Question.
“I think I would rather pet a dragon. Yes they would be horrifying to be around when they woke up, but it would be a much better story than petting an Ogre. Plus ogres smell bad and are just nasty,” Fae laughed. She continued to braid as she tried to think of another question.
“Would you rather… Lick a toad or the bottom of Potter’s quidditch boots?” Fae had no idea where that one came from but it would work. She shrugged and gave a smile to Ophelia.

"Yes the dragon would be a better story and they are so adorable," Ophelia says, giggling at the thought of a little baby dragon. Her and Chandelle got to see one being hatched once, and she thought it was one of the coolest things ever. She can't really think of something else that made her day that much, besides maybe seeing some rare plant, but the dragon thing makes a better story, as Fae said.
"Lick the bottom of a toad... At least I know where the toad has been. I mean, Potter's shoes could have been anywhere or all I know," Ophelia teases, thinking about what could possibly be on the bottom of Potter's boots. Anything that is on the planet could be there... gross.
"Now it's your turn. Would you rather... hmm... would you rather climb the whomping willow or run through the forbidden forest at nighttime with no wand?"
