Fae made her way through the Great Hall searching for Haylee. When she found her she smiled a big cheesy smile.
"A delivery from your admirer," She wiggled her eyebrows as she handed the folded parchment to Haylee. "I think I need the recipe to whatever potion you slipped my brother; he is acting like a fool!" She laughed and grabbed a roll off of Haylee's plate. "Have fun, and don't be too hard on him," She winked before taking a bite of the roll. "You should probably save your appetite..."Fae smiled knowingly before taking another bite.
Rurik paced along the corridor of the seventh floor. He gave sigh of relief when a door appeared to him. He was far more nervous than he cared to admit. He hoped this room of requirement was everything he had heard...
Rurik opened the door and and smirked. The room was perfect, cheesy, but nice. There was a table set for two with candles in the middle. Thankfully there were other lamps in the room, he didn't care for a dark candlelight dinner...
There were also a few wizarding board games and a projector and screens for some movies. He shrugged, hoping it would be to Haylee's liking. It was definitely new to him. He had always taken girls to a concert, or a quiditch game... But that wasn't exactly an option when you're stuck in a castle with strict curfew and rules against leaving the grounds.
Rurik straightened his blazer and sat down on the couch to wait for Haylee to arrive. Hopefully Fae was quick with delivering the message. And hopefully Haylee still wanted to meet him...

Haylee followed the directions on the sheet. She walked slowly down the corridor on the seventh floor, looking for the door Rurik had described. She was insanely nervous. She had never been on a date before. What was she supposed to do?
Haylee opened up the door, hesitantly, walking through the door. She laughed lowly at the cheesy scene that befell her. This could not be real. It was everything she had seen in the movies. All the romantic wizarding movies.Haylee figured this was probably the perfect date for a hopeless romantic such as her.
Haylee pulled down her dress. She had borrowed it from one of her housemates who had shrunk it to her size. Actually, more of a skin tight size. It was a blush color and ended mid way down her thing. She felt ridiculous. She had never worn something like this before. Her hair was more of a messy, just got out of bed and ready to crawl into yours and there was a faint sheen of lip gloss spread over her lips.
"This is probably going to be your worst date ever, so just bear with me, okay?"

Rurik turned as Haylee spoke. He was speechless. The dress she wore left nothing to the imagination as it clung to her small frame. He actually felt under dressed just wearing a simple white button up and a black blazer.
He finally found his voice and smirked at her. “I doubt it will be the worst. If nothing catches on fire you will be in the good zone.” Rurik got up from the couch and walked over to her. He wrinkled his nose, “Sorry it’s a bit… cliché,” he ran a hand through his hair. “The room has a mind of its own.”
He looked at the room again, wishing he had come up with something better. He felt really cheesy and it was making him second guess himself. He hated second guessing himself.
“Are you hungry?” He asked not even sure how to start the date off. He couldn’t help but curse Haylee for having such a strong effect on him…

"It's perfect, Rurik, as for the catching on fire... I wouldn't be surprised." Haylee let out a shallow breath before she dropped her hand to Rurik's bicep. He was making her nervous. She had vowed to be relaxed and herself tonight. Her smile widen as she looked down at her hand.
"Rurik, you're shaking. Calm down." Haylee slid her hand down and took his hand. She walked closer, interlocking their fingers and putting an arm around his neck. "Everything will be fine. It's perfect. The best first date ever."

Rurik let out a tense laugh. Merlin he was being ridiculous! He let took a deep breath and smile down at Haylee. He would make sure her first date was a good one, not something stupidly awkward.
He wrapped his arms around her waist. Her touch was driving him crazy. “We will just have to keep an eye on the candles then,” he joked. “And I wouldn’t say it’s the best until the end of the night,” he laughed. A lot could happen in a couple of hours. Look at how they met!
“Come on,” He pulled away from Haylee and led her to the table and pulled out a chair for her. “After you,” He smiled, loosening up a bit. Everything would be fine. He pushed her chair in after she took her seat and went to his chair. “I have no idea where this food came from, but hopefully it’s good…” He smirked at her as he placed his napkin in his lap.

"Everything tastes good with a little magic. I should warn you, before this goes any further, I should mention that I can't cook. Even with magic. That is how bad I am. I get it from my mother." Haylee reached for her water, surprised to notice her hand was steady. Inside it felt like she was going to explode. Was this how she was supposed to feel?
"So.... what do people normally do on a date? I feel so awkward right now." Haylee blushed lightly, looking down at her plate as she returned her water back to it's spot without spilling it.

Rurik laughed. “Well lucky for you I’m pretty good at cooking, even without magic,” he winked at her before taking a bite.
“Well if everything goes right, the awkwardness should fade way,” he gave a slight smile. He sure hoped it did. “As for what people usually do on a first date is talk, get to know each other. Test the waters I guess. Every date is different and it always depends on who you are with of course.”
Rurik laughed at himself. Such a generic answer. Who knew where this date would go. After their last encounter he wasn’t sure what to expect!

Haylee took a bite of her meal and moaned slightly as the flavors danced across her tongue. Everything at Hogwarts was marvelous. How food could taste this good, she wasn't too sure, but she never wanted to stop eating it. Food is perhaps the most wondrous thing in the world. Haylee could eat half her weight if she was really hungry. She had always been rather proud of all her prizes from down 10lbs of food.
"So, are you for desert?" Haylee laughed as she stared at Rurik over her water glass. "I'm kidding of course. I have some class! What brought you to Hogwarts?"

Rurik shook his head as a smile graced his features. He met her eyes as he laughed. “You can have whatever you would like,” he winked at her. He wouldn’t mind that at all, of course that would be rushing things. He worried about taking things too fast for her. Considering this was her first date, he didn’t want to overwhelm her.
“My father got relocated to a London office in the ministry. So the whole family packed up and moved so we could all ‘experience something new’. Not the easiest thing to hear when you only have one year of schooling left,” he smirked. His other school probably celebrated his departure.
“Did you grow up in England?” He asked her, glad to finally gain some insight on Haylee besides her mother’s reputation…
He was glad the food had turned out well. And he was also glad for being able to openly look at her without fear of being caught and sent to detention.

"Yes, although I travel quite a bit with my dad. My mother doesn't approve of that but I love my father. When I was younger I would spend a few years with my dad is another country. I always enjoyed that best." Haylee had a small devious smile on her face as she thought of he dad. He dad may not be the most liked person in the wold but he was a very powerful man.
"Hmm, have any big dark secrets I should know of?" Fae enjoyed knowing things others didn't. Not that she'd even use those secrets against someone. She wasn't that type of person.

“A girl that travels, very nice,” Rurik smiled. So obviously her dad had some kind of job that required him to be gone a lot. And her mother doesn’t approve? It was a very interesting insight into the Anderson Family. She had yet to be specific about her father, but she had made it obvious that she was fond of him though unwilling to embellish the details.
Rurik looked up at Haylee through his lashes as he leaned down to take another bite. He leaned back in his chair, keeping his eyes on her as he thought about her question. What kind of secrets did she want to know? What kind of secrets was he willing to reveal?
“I once had a fling with a mermaid… I don’t think that is overly ‘need to know’ though,” He smirked. “Let’s see… ‘He-who-must-not-be-named’ killed my uncle while my sister and I hid in an enchanted chest. That’s not something everyone can say.” He wanted to spark her interest. His past dates were hardly note-worthy. Everyone here at Hogwarts seemed obsessed with Voldemort, so why not reveal that secret past?
“What about you Miss Anderson, what skeletons do you keep in your closet?”

Haylee sat back in her chair. Her eyes were wide as she looked away from Rurik. Her eyes flitted nervously around the room, not focusing on one thing for too long. She didn't know what to think. Haylee wasn't sure what she was supposed to say. She knew her father had killed many people, fact is she had been there when he had killed many. Never before had she been so close to one of the families affected though.
Haylee took a deep breath before she looked at him. This was never going to work. Haylee should have known better than to get her feelings involved with anyone. Riddle had trained her better than that. He had promised her he would take care of her, so long as she didn't get her feelings involved. Feelings complicated everything no matter hbow hard you kept them from doing so.
"Rurik, I guess you deserve to know this..." Haylee stood up and headed towards the door. "You deserve to be with someone who is... well, for lack of a better word, worthy of your time. We're not going to last this." Haylee pulled out her wand and aimed it towards Rurik. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you. Just going to put a muffling spell on you. I have to make sure the next thing I tell you, you can only talk to me about. And yes, that includes writing it down, lip-reading, acting it out, morse code, et cetra. Sorry, Rurik."
"Mufflitio." Haylee walked forward and put her wand on the table before looking into Rurik's eyes." My dad is Tom Riddle, or the Dark Lord. However you want to refer to him."

Rurik could not believe the words that had just spilled out of Haylee’s mouth. Sweet, innocent, little Haylee? Voldemort’s daughter!? How was that even possible!
Rurik sat in silence, circling between both being disgusted by the girl in front of him and unbelievably attracted to her. You can’t pick your family, right?
Rurik studied her for a long time in silence. Could her little innocence be an act? Some façade that would lead to The Dark Lord’s victory? If Haylee was some kind of a spy, it would explain why she had been so good at sneaking through the halls.
Rurik finally came to the conclusion that he could not blame Haylee for his uncle’s death. But he would be more cautious in her presence. He would not get sucked up into the sick games Voldemort’s followers liked to play.
Rurik took a bite of his dinner and motioned for Haylee to return to her seat. “I never would have pegged you as the Dark Lord’s spawn. But I guess that just goes to show how deceiving exteriors can be.” Rurik smirked like there was some inside joke.
“All I can say is that who your father is does not dictate who you are, Miss Anderson. I would still like to get to know you, if you aren’t too frightened from revealing your deep dark secret?” He raised his eyebrow, daring Haylee to refuse.

Haylee stared at Rurik uneasily for several long moments before taking a seat. This was not the way she expected him to react. Haylee kept her hand in her hand as she stared at Rurik, expecting to have to throw a few hexes to subdue the angry Slytherin. She had never been stupid enough to put herself in this position before. Why was she doing it now? She had no idea. She knew that by tomorrow her name would be splashed all over the Daily Prophet.
'Girl Found Strung Up on Quidditch Pitch at Hogwarts"
"Girl Crammed Into Suit of Armour at Hogwarts"
"Dumbledore Says, I Don't Know What Happened"
Hayle glared at Rurik as his words slowly sunk in. Of course, the ignorant little prude. Haylee was out of her chair, her eyes ablaze with anger. Typical man, thinking he was better than everyone. Nobody was better than Haylee. There was no such thing as being better than anyone. "Spawn, huh? That's the way you think of me now? You're so contradictory. I can't pick my father, no, but you have the right to call me nothing better than a spawn or what? Satan?" Haylee smashed her palm on the table, making the cutlery clash against each other and water to spill out of her goblet.
"I really shouldn't have told you, huh? Should've gone on playing cute little Haylee Anderson, made up some sad sob story about one of my relatives dying at the hands of Lord Voldemort. Right. That would've been better for us. Perhaps I could just scrub your memory a bit back... make it fit effortlessly together. I mean, of course now I'm the big bad wolf, aren't I Rurik?"

Rurk was surprised at Haylee’s anger. He did not see what he had said to piss her off. He shoved his hair back and leaned on the table so he was inches from Haylee’s face. A thousand horrible things raced through his head that he could say to her. In some ways she might as well be a spawn of Satan with Voldemort’s reputation.
He would like to hex her for basically calling him a weak muggle. He had never told anyone about his uncle’s death before and she was using it as some fake sob story? Or maybe he should warn her what would happen if she even dared to alter his memory. He was furious with the spitfire in front of him. His jaw was clenched so tight, he wouldn’t be surprised if his teeth shattered.
Rurik took a deep breath as her last words sunk in. He did not see her as ‘the big bad wolf’ she was far to small and innocent to be such a figure to him. But he knew to be more careful; she had proved just how handy she was with her wand. No doubt she had learned some tricks from her father.
Should he try to explain to her his intent? Practically grovel at her feet with an apology?
“You’re very cute when you’re mad,” He said instead. He wouldn’t be surprised if she slapped him. But it was true. Seeing the fire in her eyes made Haylee far more attractive to Rurik than he had been before. She no longer seemed like a porcelain doll he had to handle with the utmost care.
