Ambrosette was furious as she stalked onto the Quidditch Pitch, her fingers twitching fast with her pumping heart. She was mad at everybody. Everybody seemed dead set on hurting her and it was breaking down her walls. First Lucius, Then Marcas, next thing she knew she’d be crying over Frank Longbottom not wanting to jump into her bed. Not that she wanted him there. But she just seemed unwanted at the moment. Which was something Ambrosette wasn’t used to. She needed to find the nearest guy and string him along before dumping him on his face.
Ambrosette did not take too kindly to being played. She was the one that made the rules and any boy should play by them. But they just sucked at the game. Ambrosette growled as she grabbed a rock and threw it into the air as high as she could, drawing her wand and watching the stone fall back towards the Earth. When it was barely a foot away from her she blew it up, the tiny sparks of rubble floating back to the grass. She continued to do it her anger only building.

Fae was walking alone, her nose in a book not even paying attention to where she was going. It was one of those days she just needed some solitude. Today she was very tired of always smiling, of always being bubbly, and being kind to everyone. A lot of good it did her. She was now caught up with Marcas Knight, not a clue of what was there, and had a date with Sirius Black. Go figure she would choose the two playboys of the school to get involved with.
Fae stopped dead in her tracks. Continuous fires were going off. She put her book away. At first her heart hammered, thinking of a shooting, but then she remembered she was not in a muggle town so the cause was magical. The question being was someone being harmed?
She followed the sounds to the pitch to find Ambrosette tossing objects into the air and blowing them up. Fae hesitated. Ambrosette Velna scared the living crap out of her. But she found herself walking towards the girl anyways.
“That great of a day, huh?” she finally said. Her hands were shaking with fear, so she just put them in the back pockets of her jeans as she watched some rubble fall to the grass.

Ambrosette heard the sickeningly high pitched voice as she let out an aggravated scream, launching the rock into the air and forgetting about it, pointing her wand at Fae Many spells were running rampant through her head and it was hard to focus on just one. She tried to focus but all that came up was insult upon insult. “You stupid little blood-traitor! You ignorant waist of pure-blood! You horrible, wretched girl!” She screamed, the rock landed in front of Ambrosette, skimming her arm slightly, leaving an angry red mark. But Ambrosette was too focused on trying to bring up a spell.
“SECTUMSEMPRA!” She finally screamed, not sure where it had come from or what it did. Perhaps it was in one of the Dark Texts she’d been ready. She wasn’t sure. But she hoped it hurt. She really did. She hoped she was wiping blood off of the grass and her face after it.

Fae was unaffected by Ambrosette’s insults. She had always felt the girl belonged in Slytherin. Malfoy and his group had called her a blood traitor many times. Instead, Fae felt sorry for Velna. It was obvious she was beyond furious and picking a fight was her way of dealing with whatever was going on in her life. Fae was just swallowing the fear in her throat at the thought of what she was going to say next when Ambrosette yelled a spell.
Fae could feel the power of it. The pain she should be feeling. But instead her left arm burned with tiny scratches as blood puckered to the surface. As it happened, the rock that had fallen in front of Ambrostte seemed to be making horrible scraping noises. It stopped as soon as it had all started. Fae felt a foreign feeling of anger boil up. She bit down on it. She would not give into that emotion.
“I feel sorry for you Velna. You’re so alone and angry in the world that a simple act of kindness sets you off. You could have killed me, had that rock not taken your concentration,” Fae knew she was right. She could feel it in the pain in her arm and the hum of magic that still thrummed in the air. “Go ahead, keep going. But you’re better than a murderer, Velna.”
Fae looked Ambrosette head on while she talked to her. She was scared beyond belief, but she couldn’t turn away from someone that she could possibly help, even in the slightest. Though, she did not want to die.

Ambrosette breathed deeply, flexing her hand before casting her wand aside and striding towards Fae in furry. Ambrosette wasn’t feeling good at all. She wanted to puke with how much guilt and stress that was weighing down her shoulders. She reached out, glaring like a little kid, and pushed Fae.
“Don’t ever say anything lie that to me again! You know nothing about me, traitor, and I don’t want you to pretend like you do.” She said as she took a few steps back, grabbing her wand and shoving it deep into her robes. She hated it right now. Her emotions felt like a yo-yo. Alternating between angry and hurt all in the same motion.

Fae stumbled back and fell to the ground. “Wow, what are you, five?” She stood up and brushed herself off. She was annoyed now, and angry. “If you’re so high and mighty, why aren’t you in Slytherin? That seems a bit like a traitor to me. You definitely don’t act like a Gryffindor.”
Fae felt horrible, but it was the truth. And she couldn’t stop herself now. Ambrosette had opened a can of worms that was probably going to get Fae killed.
“I don’t know anything about you? Everyone knows the image you project to the world. Do you even know who you are? I can tell from the turmoil in your eyes you don’t ever let anyone see who Ambrosette Velna really is. Why do you choose to be a harlot? Why are you such a bitch? Maybe if for once in your crazy theatrics of a life you should take some time to let it all out. You’re angry. You’re hurt. You hate the world and everyone in it. Did I miss anything about what you’re doing out here?”
Fae held her wand ready. She wasn’t sure just what Ambrosette would do from her outburst. The girl was completely unpredictable.
“Sorry for being so blunt, but you seem to need it.” Fae couldn’t handle the guilt of what she had said, but she couldn’t take any of it back either.

Ambrosette let out a wail of frustration, not sure how to show this girl that she should get the hell away from her before she really did explode and decide that the jugular was the best place to latch onto to kill her. Something about hanging out with Merpeople made you think just like them. Made you want to kill anyone at all that posed any type of threat.
“You don’t know anything about me! I happen to like the color red, Fae, and rather like it in this house. No matter what you may say about me or think of me I belong here. My parents hate Slytherin. You may not be aware but Slytherin and Gryffindor are actually two very close houses.” Ambrosette’s voice barely rose above a whisper. She felt as if she talked quietly that it would push her anger down.

Fae smiled. “You like the color red. That’s your reason for being a Gryffindor? Interesting.”
Fae knew she was pushing her luck. Abrosette looked ready to pounce and that wail had been like the call of a banshee announcing death.
“I am aware of how close the houses are. The Slytherines are just more likely to care about blood status and scream insults.” She crossed her arms against her chest.
“I also know that there is no possible way for anyone to know you, Ambrosette. You’ve done a wonderful job alienating yourself. How steady are those walls for you today? It seems you might have experienced an earthquake.”
Fae had never seen someone so angry as Ambrosette. Nor had she met anyone that could keep their distance but seems so close like Miss Velna. She just wanted the girl to finally have a moment of happiness without violence or crude words being involved.

Ambrosette was forward in a moment, a fresh wave of anger pulsing through her impulsive body. In one moment she hated this girl with as much passion as she hated Marcas and Lucius. She wanted to throttle her and gouge her eyes out. Wait. The eyes could wait till last so she could watched as Ambrosette mutilated her body beyond recognition.
Ambrosette reached her hand out to strike Fae across the face, letting out an odd growl. “Why you insufferable little prat. Don’t you dare say something like that to me again, sixth year. Are you forgetting I’m your senior. Or Head Girl? I can give you detention for just disrespecting me. Take away points just because I feel like it. Watch what you’re saying because you obviously don’t know who you’re talking too.”

Fae’s cheek stung with an amount of pain she had never experienced before. She would be walking around with a handprint on her face for a week if magic wasn’t used. But none the less she forced the tears back that were threatening her eyes and took a step closer to Ambrosette.
“You may be head girl and a seventh year, Velna, but that does not mean you can live above the rules. I now have proof that you hit me. I can spin up a sad little story about how all I did was come over here to help you and you hit me, hexed me, and threatened me. Dumbledore may have a soft spot for you, but that does not mean he will tolerate how you treat the students below you. As head girl you should be setting an example. I thought you did quite well, although you do use unorthodox ways. You show that no one should be afraid to be who they are, and that we should stand up for ourselves. So tell me, why have you fallen and let such simple matters throw you off balance?”

Ambrosette clenched her fists, trying to convince herself that punching Fae so hard her head would roll off her shoulders was not the best way to approach this situation. She drew in a deep breath through her nose and exhaled soundlessly out her mouth, unclenching her fist and adopting a smile, her entire face warming despite the real way she felt.
"Sob stories never work on Dumbledore. See, people have these things called memories. Yea. Dumbledore may have a soft spot for me and he probably walks around drunk all the time. What type of silly nitwit puts Ambrosette Velna, probably the worst person ever to be Head Girl despite what you may think, in a position of power but some drunk or someone who could careless? Fae, I think it's best you leave before I hex you into oblivion without hesitation."

Fae knew she was not kidding. Ambrosette did not make threats lightly. But she refused to be told what to do. “You are terrifying and a truly nasty person, but I refuse to let you order me around like some kind of House elf. I also do not care for you insulting Dumbledore. He is not a drunk. He obviously knows something about you that most of us cannot see. So I will respect his decision. But do not make the mistake of threatening me and expecting me to leave. If you wish to be alone with your thoughts, you can say ‘Fae, will you please leave. I would like to be alone.’ Fae did take a few steps back while she spoke, so she wasn’t in arms length of Ambrosette. The girl was unhinged. She felt sorry for her, wondering just how someone could possibly be so angry all the time.
