Bellatrix peered out of one of the windows in the corridor and immediately drew back when the sun hit her face. Sun...again? She thought to herself. She hated the sun. Absolutely loathed it. Her fair skin always got her into trouble when it was cloudless out like it was today; she would end up with a blistering third degree burn on her face and that? That was just not going to happen. Bellatrix pressed her back up against the wall next to the window and thought for a moment.
Going outside to finish her Runes work was out of the question now that she had discovered the sun was out to get her. She could perhaps go back to the Slytherin Common room...but she somehow doubted she would get anything done there with all the hustle and bustle of people running in and out. The library was out too; Bellatrix had just come from there and she was pretty sure that she had had enough of that musty smelling room for one day, “Study Area it is, then.” She said to herself and walked in the general direction of the fourth floor.
When she arrived at the large open area of the room, her eyes scanned the room, identifying faces of all those she rather disliked. It was like she was making mental tally-marks, 3 Mudbloods and a couple of Half-bloods...Disgusting. She avodided all eye contact as she quickly took a seat near the edge where she thought that no one would bother her. Not many of the table were taken and she assumed it was because of the nice weather; everyone was probably outdoors tinkering with the Quidditch equipment up on the pitch.
She reached into her bag and fished out her favorite quill, her 10” parchment, and her Runes book. She opened to the first page and stared at the font on the page. Gibberish. It looked like jibberish to her. She should have paid more attention in class.
