Alex was sitting in the Gryffindor table, tapping his fork on his empty plate. He could go to detention early, but that would look suspicious and Fae probably wasn't there, yet. He looked around for her at the Ravenclaw table, but didn't see her. Could she already be in Snape's office? No. Probably not. She probably didn't even know where it was.
"Helloooo. Earth to Alex?" Hermione's voice rang in his ears.
Alex turned back to Hermione, "Oh, sorry. What was that?"
Hermione sighed, "You seem distracted. Is anything wrong?"
He shook his head, "I just have detention with Snape and not really looking forward to it. That's all." He gave Hermione a sideways smile. "Now, about that Charms homework..." His mind wandered as Hermione spoke with him.
He and Hermione had hit it off from day one. Although he wasn't much for studying, he was actually smart. Much like how he loved reading and no one really knew it. His carefree attitude prevented people from seeing his real self. At the beginning of the year he thought perhaps Hermione ws attractive, but she seemed to have a thing for either Potter or Weasley. He still found her really attractive, in an intelligent sort of way, but he couldn't help thinking more about Fae.
"Well... Well..." a cold voice came from behind him. He and Hermione both turned to look at Stasja. "Still got your Gryffindor slut pining for you?" She gave Hermione a sneer.
Hermione's mouth opened and closed as her cheeks flushed. But she was unable to say anything. "I...." she grabbed her books and ran out of the Great Hall without another word.
Stasja smiled mischievously.
"What the hell, Stace!" Alex raised his voice standing up.
"Just letting you know that a certain older brother of a Ravenclaw you seem very fond of is probably after your head," she said before walking away to the Slytherin table.

Rurik sat in the great hall for dinner watching everyone around him. He caught sight of Stasja and watched as she walked up to a boy at the red table. So that must be the Brother. He narrowed his eyes at the guy. Rurik didn't like him. That was that. Who did he think he was getting his sister landed in detention the first week? Rurik gritted his teeth. sometimes being the protective older brother was draining...
He let his gaze wander across the room again, landing on Haylee this time. He watched her for a few seconds as she sat with her classmates before Fae caught his eye as she walked in. She sat down at the Ravenclaw table alone. He wished she had managed to meet people in her own house, he hated seeing her look so lonely.
Fae walked into the Great hall late for dinner. She had gotten caught up with her potions homework and lost track of time, per her usual. She had been trying extra hard on the potions homework, hoping to show Snape she wasn't just some hooligan that wandered the halls after hours...
Fae took a seat at the Ravenclaw table at the end. She didn't bother looking for the guy she had sat with at the sorting ceremony; too much of a hassle with the amount of people... She piled some food on her plate and absentmindedly chew it over as she searched for her brother. She gave him a small smile as their eyes met before she looked away, not caring for the looks some of the Slytherins were giving her.
Fae then looked around the Gryffindor table, catching sight of Haylee, she gave her a small smile before continuing her search. She told herself she was simply trying to know where Alex was so that she could find him when it was time for detention. She had not bothered finding Snape's office earlier so she really did need Alex's help.
She spotted him and smiled a little. Her brother had not been at all happy to find out about her detention, only after she mentioned she had been with Alex. She smirked. Her brother was always so protective of her...
She realized she was staring. She hadn't meant to. As Alex looked in her general direction, Fae gave a small wave. She wasn't sure that he had even saw her. She hoped so, otherwise she would look pretty stupid waving for no reason.

Alex smirked. Like he even cared. He knew how an older brother could get, he was one. He walked over to the Slytherin table behind his sister. "Don't worry your pretty little head, sis," he whispered in her ears with his hand on her shoulders. "But thanks for the heads up," he said kissing her cheek- knowing full well that she was probably the one that told him.
Stasja pushed him away immediately, "Go!" she hissed. She didn't like people knowing that she had a Gryffindor for a brother. How dare he try to embarrass her!?
Alex laughed before making his way to the Ravenclaw table where he had seen Fae sit down.
"Oi! You!" a female voice called behind him. It was Eileen. Alex beamed, another Ravenclaw that he had befriended the previous year. She ran to him and jumped in for a hug. "FINALLY! Where have you been!?" She said delightfully. Alex looked over at Fae before looking back at Eileen.
"Oh, out and about..." he motioned towards Fae. "Have you two met, yet? Fae is new here."

Fae noticed Alex loop around the slytherin table with, who she guessed, was his sister. Fae had heard that the girl was a real piece of work. Alex began to head her way before a red head attacked him. Fae had no idea where the girl had come from.... She wondered what the relationship between the two were. Alex seemed to know, and be friendly with, an awful lot of people outside of his house. She liked it, but it seemed like most people stuck to having friends in their own houses.
"I don't believe we have met. I'm Fae Malone," Fae smiled and offered her hand. Could be nice to know someone in her house...

"You must be Fae!" Eileen said sticking her hand out. "Alex here has told me a many good things about you." She gave Alex a wink and bump on the hip. Alex just shook his head and push her down on the seat, taking an empty plate and putting it in front of Eileen. "Don't mind her. Her mother had her tested and she's a real true psycho," he laughed. He sat down beside Fae. "Now you know another Ravenclaw, even if she is a nutter."
Eileen piled on so much food on her plate it looked like a mountain. Taking a bite of the chicken and without chewing it first, she looked over at Fae, "Looking forward to detention with Professor Snape?" Some food came out of her mouth as she spoke and Alex couldn't help but gag.

Fae raised her eyebrow. She highly doubted Eileen knew much about her; Alex had only met her last night. About the only thing that could be said about Fae was that she liked books, was in Ravenclaw, and had detention. Real exciting things apparently.
At Alex’s explanation Fae laughed. A nutter? She was definitely something else!
Fae was amazed at the amount of food on the girl’s plate, but when Eileen began talking with her mouth full Fae became full out disgusted. Fae could have sworn spittle had made its way to her side of the table. She pushed her plate away, no longer hungry and hoping she would not see what dinner she had managed to eat again.
“Um, of course. Who wouldn’t want to spend their night with Professor Snape?” Fae answered sarcastically and smiled at Eileen, though it was a bit forced as she tried not to look anywhere near the gaping food chute that was her mouth. Is it really that hard to chew with your mouth closed? Fae’s mouth came open as she was about to say just that. She snapped it shut again. It probably would be best not to make an enemy of the girl. Fae had hardly met her, no need to judge this soon in the game…
Fae looked to Alex and was relieved to see he was also grossed out. She would hate to offend him…

"Eileen!" Alex put his hand over Eileen's mouth. "Shut your mouth when you're eating! I would think Aunt Cass would have taught you better. You're disgusting!" Eileen groaned and nodded and Alex finally let her go.
"You'll have to excuse her, Fae. I'm sorry. She's a caveman," Alex shook his head and then looked down at his watch.
"Sorry, I'm just soooooo hungry!" Eileen said before going back to the subject. "Professor Snape is really not that bad. He doesn't really like anyone else but his own house. Once you get past that, though, he's really pretty cool to be around. Just don't let him know that."
"Not that bad!?" Alex snorted. "Did someone hit you on the head?.... Come on Fae, are you ready?" He stood up and wiped his hand, which had some of Eileen disgusting mouth food, on his robe.

Fae seriously hoped Alex would be washing that hand. She jumped at the opportunity to leave. Fae was unsure how much longer her stomach could contain itself.
Fae smiled at Eileen. “It was nice to meet you. I’ll see you around?” She waved and headed out of the Great hall wishing she could go outside for some fresh air instead of going to detention.
“She seems like she would be the life of the party, as long as she eats before hand, of course,” Fae commented with a slight smile. At least she wasn’t afraid of being herself, a nice change compared to many people Fae knew.

"Yea, she's funny," he said "a bit of a nuisance sometimes, and a know it all." Alex lead them to the dungeons and towards Professor Snapes office. He hadn't been down here in a while, but knew exactly where it was since he'd landed himself in detention many times since first year.
"I'm sorry you have to spend the week in detention," he said rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm sure you have more important things to do."

Fae laughed. “Yeah, this detention gig is really going to harp on my loner activities. I had so many party plans, oh and a hot date… such a waste,” She smirked at Alex and winked at him. “besides, maybe detention will earn me some cool points, if I don’t catch a cold that is.”
Fae rubbed her arms. She wasn’t sure if it was cold down here or if the place was just simply giving her the creeps.
“Did, er do? They torture people down here? Well I guess they couldn’t still but ya know…” Fae could practically see her imagination coming to life in the torch-lit halls as she thought about people getting their tongues cut out.
“Whose idea was it to put classes and rooms down here?”
She was very glad she was not a Slytherin. She could only imagine the nightmares she could give herself trying to sleep down here…

"Snakes do like the damp & cold," he pointed out. Taking his jacket off, he put it around her shoulders begore leading her in the classroom. There was already one other person there.
"well, my old detention buddy!" Jake Ellison said standing up to greet his friend. "i see you've recruited a new member to our club!... Hi, Jake Ellison, hufglepuff," the blonde haired boy introduced jimself to Fae.

Fae pulled the jacket around her gratefully. All nice and warm. Smelled nice too.
She walked into the class and looked Jake over. “Nice to meet you Jake, I’m Fae Malone. Ravenclaw,” She exaggerated the last word showing her dislike of the classifications. “In here a lot then, you two?” She asked with a smile as she took a seat and put her feet up on the desk.
